Temptation is a striking sculptural interpretation of the serpent from the Garden of Eden—a bold statement piece that commands attention while maintaining an air of sophisticated mystery. This artwork captures the duality of temptation itself: sleek and alluring yet undeniably provocative. The sculpture embodies both classical mythology and contemporary artistic vision. Its aesthetic creates dramatic visual impact in any space, whether displayed as a standalone focal point or integrated into a curated collection. The piece speaks to those who appreciate art that challenges convention and celebrates complexity. Perfect for collectors seeking conversation-starting décor, this work celebrates individuality and invites interpretation. It's an investment in distinctive design that refuses to blend into the background—ideal for modern interiors, creative studios, or anywhere bold artistic expression is valued.
This snake is a handpainted white base and adorned with a small but distinctive floral pattern. I have taken inspiration from an old damaged wall with patches of floral wallpaper still left in a haphzard fashion. It also harkens from granny's sheets or even an old slightly worn out painting. The finish is one of imprefectly perfect. The floral pattern has been added using decoupage paper to achieve the look I was attempting to recreate. The lovely paper texture has been left but it has been finished with a satin varnish to not only protect but smooth the feel while having the distressed textured look.
